Good news arrived for U.S. general contractors this week with analysis accompanying the new ENR 400 list of top general contractors highlighting that 2015 was a strong year for the construction market.
Noting that the market has finally returned to pre-recession levels for U.S. general contractors and construction managers, Engineering News-Record reports the Top 400 Contractors saw revenues in aggregate increase nearly 4% over the prior year to a record $344.14 billion in 2015. In the United States, the increase was more than double that at 9.5%, ENR found. The longer ENR Top 400 report presents significantly more analysis and examines contractors’ perspectives on trends in the marketplace, including business diversification and the impact of demographic shifts.
ENR’s annual list has long been considered the definitive view of the contractor landscape, and Textura would like to congratulate its many clients who appear on ENR’s 2016 ranking. Nearly two-thirds of the top 25 companies on ENR’s list are clients of Textura, as are nearly half of the top 100, and we applaud our clients for their continued growth and success. Well done!
